Solomon finally got to build the temple for God and it must have been amazing. Can you imagine being surrounded by soooo much gold and beautiful things it had to be breath-taking.

Psalm 18:1-24
OK there are some many songs written from this psalm. Is this some kind of vision of the future? It seems a lot like revelation.

I really enjoyed the whole correlation to Caesar that was presented by the Shane Claiborne group. I never knew all the similarities between the coronation and Christ's death.

I grew up in a church that said you couldn't sell things in the church because of this whole event but then I just realized the other day that stuff was sold in the temple all the time. It wasn't that they were selling stuff it's that they were stealing from people by ripping them off. So I think the appropriate rule is you shouldn't rip people off in church! Which is an interesting rule for some churches to ponder. ( no names of course:) )
