2 Chronicles 16-18
Again, what a sad time to be a king in either Judah or Israel.

Asa, what were you thinking?
Relying on other kings...

Sad ending for a good king.

What a terrible way to die.

Did any of these kings (from Judah or Israel) think to make peace with each other?

Is war easier then peace?

From verse 17:10...
And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands...

This is cool!

Finally an alliance, by marriage, but at least something...

Micah lied, a true prophet lied, but eventually he told the truth.

What is that?

A lying spirit?

He prophesied Ahab defeat and death and it happened.

What an ironic way to die.

Psalm 21
With all of David's issues, you could still see how much he loved and relied on the Lord.

Matthew 26
How many times did Jesus tell his disciple that he must be crucified?

Arrogant disciples, how many times do we see simple worship by others, and think we could do it better?

Is it I lord?

It's amazing to me that we at City on a Hill observe the Lord's Supper ever week and are not only connected to an ancient sacrament, but our doing something Jesus told us to do.

It's also cool to see the growth of the disciples from prideful men to true and loving men of God.

Our obedience to God so be out the love that Christ has for the Father.
We need to embrace what we have been given in the Holy Spirit.

What a powerful bunch of scenes in the garden of Gehthsemane.

12 x 6000 = 72000 angels, that's a lot!

From verse 26:64
Jesus said to him, “You have said so. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
Was Jesus the son of God? The pharisees seemed to believe he thought he was.

Poor Peter, but this would help build him up to the follower and leader he would become.
