Luke 12:22-34

Jesus's words are profound "But I am among you as the one who serves".

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

Not all believe, that always makes me sad, I think it makes God sad too.

What an awesome prayer for the people in our church

May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.

That's my prayer today for you and for me.

Psalms 148

Praise God for his providence and sovereignty.

2 Chronicles 28-29

The old testament is so sad sometimes. It's also interesting how God views the nation of Israel predominately through a representative, i.e. their King - I'm so glad that Jesus is my King, aren't you?

Chapter 29 parallels what Christ does for us, he satisfies the wrath of God, namely he pays the penalty due our sins, and restores to the Father, it's accomplished through sacrificing himself in our place, much like the sacrifices of lambs, and bulls, but it's once and for all - it's steadfast like the vs. in 2 Thessalonians we read today.
